Love It or Lose It

The councils of the Richmond River Catchment are in Northern NSW, lead by the Ballina Shire Council engaged Fotomedia to create a campaign promoting discussion about keeping their waterways clear, in particular; the health and wellbeing of the Richmond River.

 

Quirky, engaging, funny and not-at-all corporate were our only guidelines. The entire project, from its conception all the way through to its theatrical debut was handled entirely by Fotomedia’s Brisbane animation studio. Great care was taken to push the humour to a point where its absurdity and contextual appropriateness were perfectly balanced.

 

Three episodes were created, each touching on a specific issue the councils had identified as problematic for the Richmond River Catchment. As of 2018, the campaign is being run on TV, Cinemas and social media all throughout the Northern NSW region, along with its landing page loveitorloseit.com.au

 

The Love it or Lose it campaign has won a 2018 RH Dougherty Local Government NSW ‘Excellence in Communication’ Award.
