The Byron Shire Council approached Fotomedia’s animation team to develop an engaging and informative animated video about a serious and ongoing issue plaguing their community; Illegal Dumping.
The animation team wanted to avoid sugar coating the subject matter, but a positive tone was essential to leaving a good impression on the viewer. Byron’s natural beauty and sense of community acted as the cornerstones to this positivity, used in contrast with the depiction of illegal polluting to build a sense of responsibility, pro-activity and ownership of the shire to the viewer.
Art direction combined soft textures with strong shape language to bring Byron to life in an engaging and captivating animation style. With a flowing narrative, incidental music and dynamic character acting, the final product is closer to an animated short film than an animated explainer video!
“I strongly recommend Fotomedia, an absolute pleasure to work with. Quick responses and a fast turn around. They took our shambled ideas and made it work. Thanks a bunch!”
