Fotomedia teamed up with Study Gold Coast to design a video series as part of Australia’s largest student employability program. The aim of the project is to showcase career opportunities, and pathways in and around the Gold Coast. The series had to be modular and flexible for the new wave of social platforms in use by the target audience.
The “Great Careers” series of videos is primarily viewed via the Study Gold Coast website. The look and feel is fast with quick edits, whip pans changing scenes and the use of still photography parallax for the title page. The messaging is minimal and consistent across all the stories with the duration capped around 45 seconds. It was important to keep the stories moving and to create versions that would suit all social platforms, including Instagram Stories, which has an vertical aspect ratio. Fotomedia will be delivering 60 different video stories in the series.
